At Stabro Corporation, we’re a diverse team with a unique background. We pride ourselves on the high caliber of service we deliver, and operate our organization on principles of trust, along with a history of proven results. Our business partners are more than just clients, they’re family.
The Fargas brothers established Stabro Corporation in the San Francisco Bay Area, leaving behind successful careers with one of Asia’s top agribusiness companies to chase their entrepreneurial dreams.
We grew up in the industry.
While we explored other career paths, we grew up in this industry and were mentored by our father who has over 40 years of experience in commodities trading. From there, we took Stabro Corporation and diversified its offerings, bringing in a global team to better serve our clients. But despite being an international company, relationships remain at the heart of our organization, and each team member is an integral part of the Fargas family.

Meet the Stabro Team
Mike Fargas
Co-Founder/Partner
Mike discovered an early passion for the industry and was first mentored by his father, which placed him in a unique position to effectively manage the overall business strategy and development for Stabro Corporation along with his partners, in addition to helping oversee its day-to-day operations. He has been in the commodities industry for close to 15 years and has a wide-ranging track record of success, both domestically and globally, from trading and procurement to asset management, business development, and supply chain analytics. Mike spent his early years in the commodities business working in South East Asia for one of the largest Agribusiness companies in the World, then eventually moving back to the US to help build and grow it’s asset based business in California. His formal educational background includes degrees in organizational communication and international business from California State University Chico. He is results driven, goal oriented, and his tenacious and determined personality will continue transforming Stabro Corp into the next generation. But most of all, family comes first and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two sons.
Ean Fargas
Co-Founder/Partner
Ean was mentored in the dynamic edible and industrial oils industry from an early age and is now approaching two decades of global trading experience. He effectively manages client relationships and provides strategic market insights to create profitable results based on research. He has worked extensively to map Latin American supply chain operations and trade flows, while establishing trusted long term relationships with numerous strategic Palm Oil suppliers within the region. He has also worked to develop asset based projects within several Latin American Countries. His expertise in Palm based derivatives along with his domestic relationships has built multiple, profitable long term supply agreements within the Animal Feed industry. Ean is trilingual and attended the University of Colorado, graduating with a degree in psychology. His hobbies include fitness, cooking, and travel.
Alex Fox
Partner
Alex is a natural mentor who has been fortunate to work on all sides of the transaction, from leadership roles in commodity risk management and ingredient procurement at Conagra Brands to business development at Gavilon and Wilmar, launching the Stockton palm oil refinery, and leading the tropical oil marketing at ADM. He has a broad educational and training background that includes an MBA focused in marketing, as well as an accounting degree from Illinois State University, and credits the years he spent in the Air National Guard for inspiring his attention to detail and humility. A strategic, results-driven leader, Alex is known for cultivating long standing business relationships, building dynamic teams centered on trust, and sound risk management strategy.
Joanne Lee
Head of International Business and Supply Chain
Joanne is passionate about strategic development and innovation. She has a background in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Nanyang Technological University, located in Singapore. Following graduation, she joined the palm commodities industry and has extensive experience in market development, including identifying new markets to penetrate, as well as overseeing supply chain management, logistics, and full traceability of production and materials. She is also skilled at optimizing freight combinations with different classes of vessels to achieve the best possible profits in this highly competitive market.
